ALICE IN SPIEGELLAND

Ik werk momenteel aan Alice in Spiegelland: een nieuwe muziektheaterproductie voor koor, saxofoonkwartet, slagwerk en stem, vrij naar Lewis Carrolls wonderlijke spiegelwereld. Samen met schrijver Peer Wittenbols ontstaat een nieuw verhaal, poëtisch, absurd en soms rauw, waarin Alice zich beweegt door een wereld waar logica verschuift en niets helemaal vaststaat.

De concertzaal wordt onderdeel van het spel, waarin muziek, tekst en theater voortdurend in elkaar overlopen.

Het werk is momenteel nog volop in ontwikkeling.

‘dnallegeipS ni Ecila’

I am currently working on Alice in Spiegelland: a new music theatre production for choir, saxophone quartet, percussion and voice, freely inspired by Lewis Carroll’s extraordinary mirror world. Together with writer Peer Wittenbols, a new story is emerging — poetic, absurd and at times raw — in which Alice moves through a world where logic shifts and nothing remains entirely fixed.

The concert hall itself becomes part of the performance, where music, text and theatre continuously flow into one another.
